Dr Jennifer Jones
Dr Jen Jones, Clinical Psychologist joined the Gate Psychological Services team in July 2021. She also works for the NHS in a Child and Adolescent Neurodevelopmental Assessment Service.
Jen is experienced in assessing children and young people for potential neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism and ADHD. She brings these skills to our Specialist Trauma Assessment service, particularly where there are concerns regarding differential diagnosis. She can also provide therapeutic input to children and their families to assist them in coping with the complexities of a neurodevelopmental diagnosis. In her therapeutic work, Jen draws on several approaches including cognitive-behavioural and systemic therapy.
Jen has always been interested in working with children and their families. Through her clinical experience, she has developed a keen interest in childhood trauma and attachment.
